history
The vocational schools for music have existed in Bavaria since 1977 . The foundation of the music schools in Bavaria took place against the background of an upswing in amateur music in recent decades. This made it necessary to train qualified ensemble and choir leaders. A state vocational school for music was founded in every Bavarian administrative district. Such a vocational school was founded in Sulzbach-Rosenberg in 1984 in the administrative district of the Upper Palatinate . In addition to the fields of classical music and church music , this school is the only one of its kind that has also offered a musical branch since 2003 .
Subjects
Students receive professional training on a major instrument such as singing, piano, violin, trumpet and a second instrument. Subjects such as ensemble conducting / choir conducting, voice and ear training, as well as music theory, music theory, music history and instrument studies are also part of the training. In the musical department , the students also have other subjects such as dance and drama lessons / role representation.
