The vocational college on Lindenstrasse in Cologne is one of the largest vocational colleges in the city.

The inner city school with over 4,000 students and a teaching staff of more than 150 people is divided into three locations for reasons of space. The main building at Lindenstrasse 78 still includes the building at Richard-Wagner-Strasse 47, which was only completed in 2009, and one floor in the Stephan-Lochner primary school in Lochnerstrasse at Rathenauplatz .

Alignment

The school is a commercial vocational college that trains retailers, office management specialists, real estate agents, sports and fitness salespeople, dialogue marketing specialists, service specialists for dialogue marketing, as well as legal and administrative clerks in the vocational school branch. It offers full-time training at a commercial college, a business school and a technical college. It is also possible to qualify as a state-certified business economist at the BKaL as part of a part-time course. The cooperation partner European University of Applied Sciences Brühl recognizes up to half of the credit points for a Bachelor’s degree in General Management from the degree in business administration .

Awards

  • In May 2003 the then School Minister Ute Schäfer awarded the vocational college on Lindenstrasse the first prize in the competition "Quality of school work - New ways of learning", which was awarded by the Minister for Schools, Youth and Children together with the State Institute for Schools was. The prize money was 2000 €.
  • The school received two fourth prizes (€ 500 each) as part of the 2004 IHK school prize "Fit in Math and German" from the Cologne and Düsseldorf Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
