The Attnang vocational school ( BS Attnang ) is a vocational school for metalworking professions in Attnang-Puchheim in Upper Austria .

The school has around 50 employees, around 40 of whom are teachers. The headmaster is Rudolf Baldinger.

Every year around 1000 students are taught.

History and structure

In 1945, after the heavy bombing raid on Attnang-Puchheim station, the vocational school was housed in the half-destroyed secondary school, and then in 1947 it was moved to the Alt-Attnang elementary school . The building is a large and typical school building from late historicism from 1906.

In 1965–1968 there were extensions for a modern training workshop, further expansion until 1987, a general renovation of the old building in 1970–1972, in 1996 the addition of the laboratory wing and in 2010 a general renovation with expansion of a theoretical wing.

The school offers school-based training as part of the dual training apprenticeship / vocational school for:

The school has laboratories ( e.g. for CAD with 3-printer , CNC , electrical , materials testing , robotics laboratory with a Kuka KR6 R700 sixx robot) and workshops ( turning shop , milling shop , CNC workshop , welding shop with oxy-fuel and electric welding systems, locksmith workshop , Craft workshop , a grinding shop and a plastics workshop ) and is extensively equipped with student PCs.

A boarding school with 72 beds has been attached to the vocational school since 2001 .

The Attnang vocational school also has a photovoltaic filling station.
