content

The film takes place during the Shoah and describes how more than 18,000 Sephardic Jews were saved from deportation to concentration camps by diplomats like Behiç Erkin , Namık Kemal Yolga and Necdet Kent . To this end, they issued Turkish passports for Jews threatened with murder and organized train transports to Turkey.

The film is also reminiscent of Raoul Wallenberg , the Swedish diplomat who saved Hungarian Jews from deportation.
