Trimming stands for:

  • in agriculture the ratio of farm animals to area, see livestock
  • in fisheries and species protection the introduction of juvenile fish into a body of water, stocked fish , see stocking (fishing)
  • unwanted components in a batch of grain, see stocking (grain)
  • Substances for damming explosive charges, see Dammed charges
  • in the case of textiles, a part to turn over edges, fabric borders or cut-outs, see trim (clothing)
  • in skinning, the fur "put on" clothing, see fur trim
  • various decoration for furniture, interior decoration and also clothing, trimmings , the trimmings
  • in the military the lower end of the sleeve in the tunic, see surcharge (uniform)
