Under Beschriftungstechnik is any kind of technology that based on various technologies , for labeling of objects can be used. Depending on the material to be labeled , different labeling techniques are used. A label can be primarily, i. H. be attached directly to the object or product to be labeled , or secondarily, by attaching an additional information carrier , such as a label .

The labeling technology primarily and secondarily uses various labeling systems of printing technology , such as printing machines , printers or plotters , but specially designed labeling devices , scoring techniques , embossing machines or lasers are also used for laser labeling .

Common labeling techniques that are mainly used for secondary labeling and labeling of products are signage or labeling .
