Beshariq is a city (shahar) in the Uzbek province of Fargʻona in the Fergana Valley and the capital of the district of the same name .
The city is located about 100 km west of the provincial capital Fargʻona and about 30 km southwest of the district-free city of Qoʻqon near the border with Tajikistan . Beshariq has a station on the Qo'qon- Konibodom railway line of the Uzbek Railways ( O'zbekiston Temir Yo'llari ).
In 1983 Beshariq received city status. According to the 1989 population census, the city had 17,289 inhabitants, according to a calculation for 2010 the population was 23,912.
