Coming guys

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Coming Burschen was a branch of the Order of St. John in Burschen in what was then the Sternberg District (today Boryszyn , Gmina Lubrza in Poland). It belonged to the Brandenburg Ballei of the Order of St. John and was formally split off from the Kommende Lagow in 1767 , but it was not until 1790 that its own commendators were introduced. After the Order of St. John was abolished in 1811, the Coming Office was converted into a royal Prussian rent office, the Burschen office. The Burschen office was merged with the Lagow office as early as 1816 (?) And de facto dissolved. However, the name remained as an addition to the designation (Rent-) Amt Lagow and Burschen z. T. received until 1848.

history

The Kommende Burschen of the Order of St. John of the Brandenburg Ballei was formed in 1767 by splitting off from the Kommende Lagow. The spin-off was only to take effect after the death of the then commander for Lagow. Lieutenant Colonel Friedrich Wilhelm von Pannewitz, from 1760 commendator for Lagow (and from 1767 also for boys), died on January 13, 1790, so that commanders were only installed for Lagow and boys from 1790 .

The Coming Boys included the villages

It thus had the scope of the earlier comming large village of the Templar Order . Großdorf had fallen desolately at the end of the Middle Ages / Early Modern Age. The Coming Boys brought the commendator an annual income of 1,000 thalers.

Commendators

  • 1790–96 Friedrich August Graf von der Schulenburg, Royal Prussian Chamberlain, introduced to boys September 6, 1790, he received the Kommende Lagow in 1796 († April 9, 1797)
  • 1796–97 Balthasar Adolph von Beerfelde, Colonel of the Cavalry, 1772 Knight of the Order of St. John († 1797)
  • 1797–1806 Alexander Christoph von Münchow, Royal Prussian Colonel, introduced September 21, 1797, † 1806. He was the son of Lietzen's commander Christian Ernst von Münchow (commander: 1736–49).
  • 1806–1811 Christian Wilhelm Ludwig Graf von Wartensleben, † January 18, 1812

The office guys

After the dissolution of the Order of St. John in Brandenburg in 1810/11, the Kommende was converted into a sovereign domain office. The previous owner of the Coming Count of Wartensleben was compensated with 3,400 thalers. The Burschen office probably only existed as an independent office for a very short time. In 1818 it was merged with the Lagow office; both offices were administered by the same bailiff. Beck et al. suspect that it was merged with Lagow as early as 1816. In the topographical-statistical overview of the administrative district of Frankfurth ad O. from 1820 (status 1818) only the Lagow Rent Office is listed, while the manuals on the royal Prussian court and state name the unified office of Lagow and Burschen. It was not until 1848 that the addition and boys to the Lagow Rent Office disappeared .
