The Gmina Lubrza is a rural community in the powiat Świebodziński of the Lubusz Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name ( German Liebenau (Neumark) ) with about 1000 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality borders in the east on the district town Świebodzin (Schwiebus) . The town of Międzyrzecz (Meseritz) is about ten kilometers to the northwest. The area is rich in lakes.
history
The municipality counted to 1945 county Züllichau-Schwiebus in the administrative district of Frankfurt of the province of Brandenburg .
The Gmina Nowa Wioska was renamed in 1947 in Gmina Lubrza after Lubrza, the former Liebenau, the city rights were revoked. The seat changed from Nowa Wioska (Neudörfel) to Lubrza, which was added to the municipality. This existed until 1954 and was re-established in 1973.
