Christian Ernst von Münchow

Christian Ernst von Münchow (* May 20, 1671 ; † January 28, 1749 ) was a Prussian chamber president in Königsberg and Neumark .

Life

Christian Ernst von Münchow came from the Buckow line of the Pomeranian noble family von Münchow . His parents were Bernd Christian von Münchow, heir to Kosemühl and Clara Erdmuthe von Wobeser , daughter of the district administrator to Stolp Peter von Wobeser († 1658).

He attended the University of Wittenberg since April 10, 1691 and after graduating he was Governor of Stolp and Schlawe . On May 12, 1700, Münchow received a seat and vote in the Supreme Court and had been a royal Prussian secret judge, court and chamber judge from January 24, 1707, for which, however, he only received salary from November . In 1714 he became President of the Chamber at Königsberg in Prussia.

Marriage and offspring

Münchow married Eleonore Philippine Chwalkowo von Chwalkowski herb. Odrowąż (7 May 1693 - 3 October 1741), from a Polish noble family, the last of their sex. The marriage resulted in two daughters and five sons, of whom the eldest three were raised to the hereditary Prussian count status in 1741 on the occasion of the tribute to Frederick the Great by the Silesian estates in Breslau .
