Ludwig Wilhelm von Münchow , count since 1741 , (* 1709 ; † September 23, 1753 in Breslau ) was a Prussian Real Secret Budget Minister, Conducting Minister for Silesia .

Life

Origin and family

Ludwig Wilhelm, who remained unmarried and died without leaving any children, came from the Buckow line of the Pomeranian noble family von Münchow . His parents were the Prussian Chamber President Christian Ernst von Münchow (1671–1749) and Eleonore Philippine, née Chwalkowo von Chwalkowski herb. Odrowąż (1693-1741).

Career

Münchow was baptized on May 7, 1709 in Berlin . Since November 1724 he was enrolled at the Brandenburg University of Frankfurt . In April 1729 at the latest he was auscultator in the Kurmärkische Kammer and from October 1730 Kurmärk War and Domain Council . In 1735 he received the title of Privy Council of War and in May 1739 was promoted to chamber director. From June 1740 to March 1743 he was finance advisor in the III. Department of the General Management .

During the First Silesian War he headed a field war commissariat and in October 1741 took over as chief president of the newly formed Glogau Chamber ad interim . In March 1742 he became the first Silesian provincial minister and head of the two chambers in Breslau and Glogau, which he remained until his death.

In addition to his elevation to the rank of count, Münchow received various other declarations of honor. He was Truchseß of the Kurmark or Erbtruchseß of the Mark Brandenburg , Commander of the Order of St. John in Schivelbein and Lagow , since 1743 Knight of the Red Eagle Order , since January 1744 honorary member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences in Berlin and also Knight of the Black Eagle Order .

He had an extensive estate . He was the master of Klein Kauer and Golschwitz , Wollin, Grunau, Kose , Kosemühl, Groß and Klein Rogittke, Microw, Wodnogge and Grossendorf. Until 1755 he was also the (co-) owner of Belkau in the Neumarkt district .
