BestMedia was a German storage media distributor founded in 1996 from Holdorf (Vechta district).
The product range includes optical data carriers (CD, DVD, Blu-ray), memory cards , USB sticks , external hard drives and accessories that are sold under the Platinum brand . The products are not manufactured by BestMedia, but bought in from suppliers, branded and packaged in our own factory.
In March 2014, the company announced plans to close the company in autumn 2014. The reason given was the threat of high copyright and license fees for storage media and the associated high entrepreneurial risk.
