The Salzmünde prayer house is a listed prayer house in the Salzmünde district of the Salzatal community in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 55136 .

History and general

According to the deed of foundation, the prayer house was donated on September 9, 1858 by the Gödewitz entrepreneur Johann Gottfried Boltze . The inauguration took place two years later on September 9, 1860. The design of the building is more reminiscent of a town hall from the mid-19th century than a sacred building. There was originally a school in the basement. The round arch style and the yellow bricks are common features of buildings in Salzmünde and in the neighboring villages.

Today the building office of the municipality of Salzatal is located in the building.
