The company health insurance fund for health professions (BKK für Heilberufe) was a German statutory health insurance from the group of company health insurance funds . The health insurance was open nationwide. It was based in Düsseldorf .

It was closed on December 31, 2011 by the Federal Insurance Office .

history

In 1996 she took over 1,300 insured persons from BKK Nordstern ( Colonia group ). At the end of 1996 it had 10,500 members. At the end of 1997, the BKK for the health professions had over 53,000 members, including 20,000 medical assistants, 14,000 dental assistants and a further 10,000 members from the pharmacy sector.

In 2003, the BKK had around 460,000 insured persons and had debts of 200 million euros. The two board members Hansjoerg Schulten and Klaus Möller had to leave the company.

In 2011, the local merger with the BKK failed . Since the BKK could not find another merger partner for the health professions, its closure was ordered by the Federal Insurance Office on December 31, 2011.

Contributions

Since January 1, 2009, the contribution rates have been standardized. Since January 1, 2010, the BKK für Heilberufe has levied an income- dependent additional contribution of 1% of the contribution-based income, at least 8.00 euros. From January 1, 2011, the individual additional contribution was set at 10.00 euros per month.

Memberships

The BKK für Heilberufe founded the argab together with five other company health insurance funds : the working group against billing fraud .
