In this role, she played a key role in developing the bank's digitization strategy. After confirmation by the European Central Bank as the competent supervisory authority, she officially became a member of the Commerzbank Executive Board in November 2017. The personnel received widespread public attention, as the committee had previously only been made up of men. In March 2020, Orlopp changed the board department.
