Bettina Papenburg

Bettina Papenburg (born February 25, 1967 ) is a former German swimming champion .

Bettina Papenburg swam like Svenja Schlicht of the same age for SV Nienhagen in the Bundesliga of the German team championships and became German champion over 200 meters butterfly in 1987 in Sindelfingen . The butterfly specialist was not nominated by the German Swimming Association for the subsequent European championship in Strasbourg , but subsequently set her fastest time on this route in the only international swimming match in sporting history between the DSV and the GDR selection on August 28, 1987 in Munich 2: 16.23 minutes follow. At the German Championships in Karlsruhe in 1988 , the defending champion failed to take part in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul as fifth .
