Bettina Urbanski

Bettina Urbanski (* 1951 in Berlin ) is a German journalist .

After completing her studies at the journalism section of the Karl Marx University in Leipzig , Bettina Urbanski began her journalistic work at the Berliner Zeitung in what was then East Berlin . At that time this newspaper was the district organ of the SED and thus directly subordinate to the influence of this party.

After she had previously completed a traineeship , she was employed as a foreign policy editor from 1975 . From 1982 she was deputy editor in the field of foreign policy. Due to changes in personnel as a result of the fall of the Wall , she was promoted to Head of Internal Affairs in 1990. Five years later she was promoted to deputy chief of duty . In 2000 she became a senior manager on duty .

Her son is the actor Sebastian Urbanski .
