Beverly Stura-Cura

Beverly Corinna Stura-Cura (born January 1999 in Wickede (Ruhr) ) is a German screenwriter .

Life

Beverly Stura-Cura studied literature and worked as an actress and writer in the theater. She published radio play-like readings on YouTube under the name Valkyrie . In 2016 she passed the Abitur at the Walburgisgymnasium Menden . In the same year, together with Richard Zimmermann, Bärbel Born and Rasmus Tumert, she won third prize at the NRW Creators Lab of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW for the YouTube series Gravity . She initially studied English Studies and Philosophy at the University of Bonn until she began her studies at the International Film School Cologne in 2017, specializing in screenwriting.

Her script for Curiosity killed the Cat was filmed and aired on ONE on January 26, 2019 . In the same year, her short film script ALPHA made it onto the shortlist of the German Junior Screenplay Award.
