Pisino district

The district of Pisino ( German : Mitterburg ; Italian : capitanato distrettuale Pisino ; Slovenian : okrajni glavarstvo Pazin ; Croatian : kotarsko satničtvo Pazin ) was a political district in the margravate of Istria . The district included areas in central and eastern Istria. The seat of the district administration was the municipality of Pisino ( Pazin ).

The area was named after the First World War, the Kingdom of Italy slammed after 1947 it was used by Yugoslavia annexed and since 1991 has been part of Croatia .

history

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created around 1868 in the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration. The Pisino district was created in 1868 from the two judicial districts Albona ( Labin ) and Pisino ( Pazin ).

In 1869 there were 36,569 people in the Pisino district, and by 1910 the population had increased to 48,518. Of the population in 1910, 42,924 cited Croatian (88.5%) as a colloquial language, 4,032 people spoke Italian (8.3%), 288 Slovenian (5.9%) and 92 German (0.2%). The district last comprised an area of ​​859.26 km² and two judicial districts with a total of six municipalities.
