Wilkomir district

The Wilkomir district (lit. Vilkmergės apskritis ) was an administrative area in the then Vilnius Voivodeship , in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and from 1569 to 1795 in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania from 1413 . The center was the city of Wilkomir (now Ukmergė ). Today's Ukmergė Rajong Municipality is located in the Vilnius District of the Republic of Lithuania . The first head of the area since 1398 was Wigail (Vigaila). The Ukmergės apskritis district also existed in Soviet Lithuania from 1945 to 1950 (then the Ukmergė district was established).

The Wolost Panoteriai was an administrative unit in the Ukmergė district from 1919 to 1950.
