Bianba Zaxi
Bianba Zaxi (born February 20, 1965 in Tibet ) is a Chinese mountaineer. He has currently climbed 13 of the 14 eight-thousanders .
In 1985 Zaxi first stood on the summit of Cho Oyu . In 1992 he succeeded in climbing Namcha Barwa for the first time , and a year later he was able to climb two eight-thousanders in one year with Annapurna and Dhaulagiri . He succeeded in doing this the following year, when he was able to climb Shisha Pangma as well as Cho Oyu . Gasherbrum II followed in 1995, Manaslu in 1996 and Nanga Parbat in 1997. In 1998, he was able to climb two high eight-thousanders in one year: the Lhotse and the Kangchenjunga . Three years later, Zaxi reached the pre-summit of Broad Peak . With the ascent of Makalu in 2003, K2 in 2004 and Gasherbrum I in 2007, he climbed 13 eight-thousanders. In 2005 he was seriously injured in a rock fall.
