Bianca Gismonti
Bianca Gismonti (* 1982 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian pianist and composer .
Life
Bianca Gismonti is the daughter of the musician Egberto Gismonti and the actress Rejane Medeiros, her brother the musician Alexandre Gismonti (* 1981).
She began her musical training at the age of ten at the Centro Musical Antônio Adolfo in Rio de Janeiro. As a teenager, she accompanied her father as a musician on various national and international tours. She then studied piano at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro . For more than ten years she and the pianist Claudia Castelo Branco have formed the piano duo Gisbranco , which has recorded three albums that cover a wide range of Brazilian music.
On her album Sonhos de Nascimento , released in 2013, the pianist only presented her own compositions. The Bianca Gismonti Trio with Antonio Porto (bass) and Julio Falavigna (drums) has performed in various countries in South America , Europe and Japan .
