Badriia Bourelly (born July 14, 1994 in Berlin ), better known by her stage name Bibi Bourelly , is a German - American singer-songwriter .

Life

Bourelly was born in Berlin in 1994, has a twin brother and grew up with him. Her father, Jean-Paul Bourelly, is an American jazz musician whose ancestors came from Haiti . Her mother (Ines) was a teacher, worked in the Berlin Kulturhaus and came from Morocco . She died of cancer when Bourelly was six years old. Bourelly says she is "American and German".

She attended the Nelson Mandela School in Berlin-Wilmersdorf , but dropped out of school in the 10th grade and went to America to pursue her music career. Badriia Bourelly is the author of various commercially successful songs such as Rihanna's Bitch Better Have My Money and Higher or Selena Gomez ' Camouflage. On May 6, 2016 she released the EP Free The Real (Pt.1) . It featured the three singles Riot , Ego and Sally as well as two other songs ( What If I Told You , Guitar Feat. Jean-Paul Bourelly).
