Bie (Danube)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bie is an oxbow lake to the right of the Danube near St. Andrä-Wölker in Lower Austria .

The Bie begins in the Au northeast of Muckendorf and then flows over Zeiselmauer and St. Andrä-Wölker into the old Danube that was left over from the construction of the Greifenstein power station and is now used as a bathing beach . The main ditch that drains the area of Tulbing and Königstetten flows into St. Andrä-Wölker .
