The Bifrost Ledge (English for Bifröstsims ) is a flattened and 1750 m high mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range , it extends on the north side of Mount Holm-Hansen .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1998 based on the naming of other objects in the area of the Asgard Range, all of which have names from Norse mythology . It is named after Bifröst , the three-beam rainbow bridge connecting the earthly world with the kingdom of heaven.
