Big Derill Mack (actually Derill Kwella) is a rapper from Berlin .

Career

Big Derill Mack is part of the Berlin rap formations MOR and Hustlebande . He was a member of the Flying Steps breakdance crew . In addition to two solo releases ( The Hardest Is Back from 2004 and the mixtape Der Spitter Vom Dienst , published in 2005 ), he was involved in projects of his crews, most recently on the MOR album Simply the best .

Musically and lyrically, Big Derill Mack belongs to the Berlin battle rap scene. As part of some pieces of music and the HACK project, he also made excursions into the crunk area.

As part of the “street offensive” of the underground rap label Royal Bunker , Big Derill Mack performed several times in 2005 with the crunk project “HACK”, which also included Marcus Staiger , Boss A, BA-Di and DJ Zett . In the summer of 2006 their album Live from the Crunkarena was released . However, this project was ended in 2007 after disagreements about a piece of music by Boss A & G-Hot , which made headlines nationwide because of homophobic statements. In 2007 Big Derill Mack also became a father.

He has been a member of the SuppeInnaPuppe label from Boss A alias Die Kralle since 2008 .
