Bil Aka Kora
Bil Aka Kora , actually Akaramata Kora Bilgo , (born December 31, 1971 in Pô , Upper Volta , today Burkina Faso ) is a musician from the West African state of Burkina Faso. He was voted the best musician in his country in 2002. He describes his music style as Djongo , which he created with his band Djongo System based on the traditional music and dances of the Kassena , the ethnic group from which Bil Aka Kora comes. His first album was released in 1998 and he also worked with the Austrian Hubert von Goisern , among others . In 2002 and 2005 he was awarded the Kundé d'or for the best artist in Burkina Faso.
