The Bilate volcanic field is located to the west of Lake Awasa in Ethiopia and consists of some water-filled maars and ash cones. There are several areas of fumarolic activity and hot water springs that indicate that volcanism is still active in this area. There is no confirmed scientific data on the most recent outbreak in the area.
