Wayside shrine between the Kochmühle and Klingersmühle

The shrine on the bike path between Klinger mill and cooking mill is under monument protection standing hallway monument in the Upper Franconian market Steinwiesen .

The work of art made of sandstone is originally from the 17th or 18th century. The baluster-shaped column shaft with leaf decoration , the upper part of which has come off, stands on a base with a diamond-coated front and back; the other two sides of the base are empty. The flat top of the wayside shrine rests on a four-step staircase capital . It is framed by volutes on the side and shows reliefs of the crucifixion group on the front and back . There is a winged angel's head in each of the two gable sections.

The original essay on the land memorial has been lost since it was broken off and stolen by strangers in June 1986. In July 1989 the wayside shrine was completed with a new attachment, which was modeled on the original by the Steinwiesen sculptor Hermann Simon using photos.
