Bildungshaus (elementary and primary education)

An educational center is an educational institution in which elementary and primary education are merged. With a kindergarten and elementary school under one roof, children from the age of three should have a continuous educational biography. For this purpose, a model project of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Ministry of Culture of Baden-Württemberg , in which kindergartens and schools at 32 locations took part , ran from 2008 to 2015 under the name Bildungshaus 3-10 .

At an increasing number of educational institutions in Germany, this concept is now being expanded to include crèche and secondary school up to and including the Abitur.
