Bill Gekas

Bill Gekas (* 1973 in Melbourne ) is an Australian photographer who specializes in the visual arts and portrait photography .

He has been married since 2000. Their daughter Athena is the focus of many of his photographs.

life and work

Bill Gekas originally comes from the IT industry and started out in photography as a purely self-taught . In 2010, he began a project that showed his daughter in scenes modeled on old masters' paintings . Three years later, the photographs found recognition and were henceforth published worldwide in numerous magazines, newspapers and other media formats. Bill Gekas describes the project as ongoing and releases new scenes regularly.
