Bill Rubenstein (musician)

William "Bill" Rubenstein (born November 2, 1928 ) is an American jazz pianist .

Rubenstein worked for Ray Anthony in the late 1940s ; Late 1950s with the vocal group The Axidentials (recordings with The Kai Winding Trombones). In 1959 he accompanied u. a. with Kenny Burrell the singer Chris Connor at Village Vanguard . In the early 1960s he also played with Carol Sloane ( Live at 30th Street , with Bucky Pizzarelli and George Duvivier ) and was an arranger for Gloria Lynne ; he also played in the trio of Roy Eldridge during this time . In the field of jazz he was involved in nine recording sessions between 1947 and 1965. In the late 1960s he formed a duo with bassist Hal Gaylor ; In the early 1970s he appeared as a soloist in New York jazz clubs such as the Top of the Gate and the Bradley’s .
