Billy Hamill (born May 23, 1970 in Arcadia , USA ) is a former American speedway driver . His greatest success was winning the individual World Cup in 1996. In 1983, he began track sports . In 1986 he turned professional. He made his first professional race outside the US in 1990 when he went to England with Greg Hancock from California . In the same year he won the US team's World Team Championship . Three more team titles followed. He ended his career at the end of 2007.
