Bingen Mendizábal Álvarez de Arkaia (born December 5, 1962 in Vitoria-Gasteiz , Spain ) is a Spanish composer .

biography

After finishing school, studied Bingen Mendizábal Alvarez de Arkaia with different musicians about Carmelo Bernaola , composition , violin and harmony . He then played in several bands and occasionally composed for other musicians.

Mendizábal made his debut as a film composer when he wrote the music for Juanma Bajo Ulloa's short film El reino de Víctor in 1989 . He made his debut with Ulloa's butterfly wing in 1991 with a feature film. This should also lay the foundation for a long-term cooperation. Both were born in the same place. Mendizábal later composed, among others, for Ulloas Die tote Mutter and Airbag - Now it's really bang! nor the music. For his composition in the drama El juego del ahorcado , published in 2008 and directed by Manuel Gómez Pereira , he was nominated for the Spanish Goya film award for best film music in 2009 .
