Binlah Sonkalagiri

Binlah Sonkalagiri ( Thai บิน หลา สัน กาลา คีรี Binla Sankalakhiri , pseudonym of Wuthichat Choomsanit , Thai วุฒิ ชาติ ชุ่ม สนิท ; * 1965 ) is a Thai writer . In 2005 he won the prestigious SEA Write Award for his work Chao Ngin (Princess) .

Life

After graduating from Mahavajiravudh Songkhla School in Songkhla Province , he studied at the Fine Arts Faculty of Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok , but dropped out to become the editor of Pai Yarn Yai . He also worked as a reporter for the daily Matichon and Khao Sod . Binlah has been a freelance writer since 1994 and currently resides in Chiang Mai Province .

Binlah published both under the pseudonym and under his real name short stories, children's books, short stories and travelogues.
