Inner Elbe

The Binnenelbe (from within (North German) = "inside") is not the same as the lower Elbe , but according to the Federal Waterways of non- tidal river area of the same from the source to the Geesthacht weir at km 585.9. However, the Lower Elbe from Geesthacht to Kugelbake in Cuxhaven is classified as an inland waterway .
