Binnie Peaks

The Binnie Peaks are a 1399  m high mountain with two peaks near the western end of South Georgia . They tower north of Romerof Head and west of Schlieper Bay .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1982 after Edward Beveridge Binnie (1884-1956), who succeeded James Innes Wilson as the second resident magistrate of the United Kingdom on South Georgia from 1914 to 1927.
