Bintanat
Bintanat , also Bint-Anat , Bint-Anat I. , Bentanat or Bentanath or Bintanta , was the daughter of Pharaoh Ramses II and his main wife Isisnofret .
The name Bintanat is clearly of Asian origin and means: the daughter of the goddess Anat . Since Anat is an Asian goddess, it is believed that Bintanat's mother probably came from the Syrian region. In 1259 BC After the death of the Nefertari , Bintanat was raised to the wife of her father Ramses II and the great royal consort . Their daughter, Bintanat II, later became the main wife of his successor Merenptah . In the valley of the queens , grave No. 71 ( QV71 ) is assigned to her. Her sarcophagus is now on display in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo .
Representations of Bintanat can be found both in the Temple of Karnak , where she appears in a small representation in front of a colossal statue of her father, and on the facade of the Great Temple of Abu Simbel . Here she stands next to the southern colossal statue and bears the title "King's daughter Bintanat".
