Bintumani (other spelling Bintimani ; also known as Mount Bintumani and Loma Mansa ) is the highest mountain in Sierra Leone, West Africa . It is also the highest point in West Africa. The mountain with a height of 1945 m is located in the Loma Mountains .
The tropical rainforest of the surrounding Loma Mountains National Park provides a habitat for a wide variety of animals. Including the pygmy hippo ( Choeropsis liberiensis ), the dwarf crocodile ( Osteolaemus tetraspis ), the Rufous Fishing Owl ( Scotopelia ussheri ) and many primates .
