Bird Ridge is a partly icy and 11 km long mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Kempland . It rises 10 km northwest of Storegutt and west of Edward VIII Bay .
It was mapped using aerial photographs from 1956 taken as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . It is named after Garry Bird, chief electrical engineer at Mawson Station in 1961.
