The Dollgowsee is a natural lake in the north of Brandenburg on the southern edge of the Mecklenburg Lake District .

geography

The lake is part of the Rheinsberg Lake District and is located between Zechlinerhütte and Kagar . The lake is traversed by the Mühlbach (also called Kagarbach), which flows into the lake from Braminsee over Kagarsee . The lake is connected to the Schlabornsee via the navigable Dollgow Canal.

The Dollgowsee is part of the Rheinsberger Gewässer , a so-called other federal inland waterway; The Eberswalde Waterways and Shipping Office is responsible .

Flora and fauna

In the lake one finds eels , perch , bream , white bream , pike , carp , roach , rudd , tench , bleak and zander .

use

The lake is a popular fishing area and is also fished by a professional fisherman. The lake and its neighboring waters are also used for tourism by water sports enthusiasts, especially for boat tours and canoeing. The lake is the core of the FFH area “Dollgowsee”, which is located in the Stechlin-Ruppiner Land nature park .
