Birger Ljungström
Birger Ljungström (* 1872 ; † 1948 ) was a Swedish engineer , inventor and industrialist . Together with his brother Fredrik , he was mainly interested in steam engines . They also developed the Ljungström turbine named after them and the Svea bicycle .
In 1928 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Dresden University of Technology .
