Birgit Busch

Birgit Busch (born October 19, 1956 in Bremen ) is a Bremen politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

biography

education and profession

After completing secondary school, Birgit Busch trained as a civil servant in the middle service from 1973 to 1976 . She then worked for the City Planning Office from 1976 to 1984 and for the Senator for Labor from 1984 to 1987. Between 1987 and 1990 she attended the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Bremen and graduated with a degree in administration . In 1990 and 1991 she worked for the Senator for Labor (labor market policy) and from 1991 to June 1999 for the Senator for Economics, SMEs, Technology and European Affairs in the field of technology promotion , most recently as a councilor .

politics

Busch joined the SPD in 1985 and was the main cashier and then deputy chairwoman of the SPD local association Findorff from 1987 to 1991 . Since 1986 she has been a subdistrict and state delegate of the SPD.

From 1999 to 2011 Busch was a member of the Bremen Parliament. She was deputy leader of the SPD parliamentary group and represented in the committees for citizen participation and advisory board matters (city citizenship), for information and communication technology and media matters, for science and research, in the operational committee for environmental operations in Bremen, in the temporary committee for the implementation of federalism reform II in the state of Bremen Budget and finance committees and in the constitution and rules of procedure committee as well as in the deputation for economy and ports.
