Birgit Eberbach-Born

Birgit Eberbach-Born (born April 3, 1954 ) is a German lawyer. From 2006 to 2018 she was director of the Thuringian state parliament .

Career

Eberbach-Born passed the first state examination in 1978 at the Philipps University of Marburg . After her legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main , she studied at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer and passed the second state examination in 1980. The activity as an academic counselor on time at the Law and Economics Faculty of the University of Bayreuth followed 1984 Promotion to Dr. jur.

From 1984 Birgit Eberbach-Born worked initially as a consultant, later as a department head and group leader in the Federal Ministry of Justice and in the Federal Chancellery . From 2001 to 2004 she headed the University Department of the Thuringian Ministry of Science, Research and Art and until 2006 the Scientific Service Department of the Thuringian State Parliament. From 2006 to October 31, 2018, Eberbach-Born was director of the Thuringian state parliament. Since 2010 she has been teaching at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer.
