Birgit Erdmann
Birgit Erdmann (* 1969 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German translator .
Life
Birgit Erdmann a completed study of art history and Dutch studies at the universities in Marburg , Amsterdam and Berlin , they 2000 with the master's degree completed. She then worked in the cultural department of the Dutch Embassy in Berlin . She has been working as a freelance translator and editor since 2010 .
Birgit Erdmann translates fiction and non-fiction from Dutch into German . She is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ. In 2013 she received a scholarship from the Berlin Translators' Workshop at the Berlin Literary Colloquium .
