Jaap Robben (2017)

Jaap Robben (* 1984 in Oosterhout , Noord-Brabant , Kingdom of the Netherlands ) is a Dutch author and playwright .

Life

Robben actually wanted to become an African and an archaeologist , but first completed his studies in environmental management . Then he went to the Academy of the Koningstheater in S'Hertogenbosch . From 2008 he was the town clerk ( city poet) of Nijmegen for two years .

Since 2004 Robben has published several of his books, some of which have won awards. In addition to his poems, picture books and novels, he wrote texts for the theater. He gave guest lectures and was responsible for workshops for creative writing .

• 2009: Proposal list for the Golden Book Owl in the youth literature category for Zullen we een bos begin? .
• 2011: White Raven of the International Youth Library Munich for De Zuurtjes .
• 2015: Nederlandse Boekhandels Prijs for Birk .
