Birgit Siegmund
Birgit Siegmund (born February 14, 1950 in Lübeck ) is a German SPD politician from Hamburg and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .
Life
Birgit Siegmund is a trained teacher and worked at a grammar school. She divorced while serving as MP and has one daughter.
She joined the SPD in 1973. She took on the role of district chairwoman in Hamburg-Barmbek-Nord and was the owner of the SPD district executive for Hamburg-Nord . From 1982 to 1991 she was a member of the Hamburg Parliament. Her political priorities were social and educational policy.
After her time as an MP, she returned to school full-time.
