Birkenau 12 (Munich)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Birkenau 12

The Birkenau 12 was a small house in the Munich district Untergiesing .

The small house was on the ground floor and built around 1840/45. The coach house was demolished in summer 2011 after being removed from the list of monuments in 2009 . This was justified by the Upper Monument Protection Authority with structural changes, which, however, were made before the monument was added to the list of monuments. When the demolition plans became known, a citizens' initiative “Save the Birkenau” tried in vain to prevent this and collected 1250 signatures.
