The Birliktau (also Barlik ) ( Kazakh Бірліктау ; Chinese  巴爾魯克山 , Pinyin Bā'ěrlǔkè Shān ) is a mountain range in the Dzungaria in northwestern China near the border with Kazakhstan .

The mountain range is located in Tacheng Governorate , which is part of the Kazakh Ili Autonomous District in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It extends over a length of 120 km in SW-NE direction. At its western end is the Djungarian Gate , beyond which the mountains of the Djungarian Alatau rise. The somewhat lower Mailytau ridge runs south of the Birliktau . In the north, a basin landscape separates the mountains from the Tarbagatai mountains further north . The Birliktau reaches a maximum height of 3242  m in Toimene .

The mountain range consists of igneous and sedimentary rocks from the Paleozoic and granite . The mountains are covered by a mountain steppe landscape. It is cut through by wooded deep valleys.
