Birra Korça is an Albanian beer brewery . It was founded in 1928 by the Italian Umberto Uberti in the south-east Banan town of Korça . This makes it the oldest still existing brewery in the country. "Birra Korça" is one of the most famous Albanian beer brands.

history

In 1928 Umberto Uberti built the brewery building in the east of the city. This was in operation until 2004, when it was completely renovated and modernized with an investment of 17 million euros.

Using Czech and Italian technology, Birra Korça produces ale and black beer in addition to ordinary beer . Of the latter, it is the sole producer in Southeast Europe . A total of 125 people are employed in the brewery. Around 125,000 hectoliters of beer are produced every year.

With the exception of the water, all the necessary ingredients are imported from Germany , the Czech Republic and Italy.
